"Vapor" is launched!

I got the boat trailer ready to go, and got a break in the weather this evening and took "Vapor" for a test run. I needed to figure out how far forward or aft I needed to put the seat, and high the seat needed to be. Becky took some pictures of the test run. She paddles great, with very little effort. It is not like some of the plastic ones that really take some effort. I had the seat too tall about 4 1/2 inches and she felt a little tippy, so I lowered it to 1inch and that feels really good. As can see in one of the pictures I filled it up with water to try to sink it and couldn't. My watertight compartments work.
So now the adventure can continue, as I begin to explore places I can paddle to, and hopefully can find some fishing too.

You got it all wrong! You should have drunk a bottle of wine, then broke the bottle on the stern and set Becky a sail and you take the pictures!! Now you need to carve some light weight fit my hand, just my fit, paddles.
Will it upright itself if turned over?
How tipsey is it on a scale of 1-10 with 10 being extremely, positively, this things turning over right now tipsey?
You should have plenty of water in the river to float it!

My Bride has already said that she will stand on the bank and wave by, but she is not getting it it.
Yeah I was thinking about making my own paddle, of course, I have never done that before, but what else is new?
On the official tipsey scale, with 10 being very tipsey and 1 being stable as a rock, when I get through installing the seat I would say it will be around a 3 maybe 4. In other words, it's a small boat, so you can turn it over, but it feels pretty solid to me.

Will it upright itself? I don't know I didn't try that, but problemly not, I will have to turn it over myself. it's one of those things I will practice a couple of times and hope I smart enough not get in that kind of situation. Ha! Ha! yeah right.

I am sooo impressed!

Way to go!

If it keeps raining down there you may need it to sail to higher ground!
